“Eles foram presos em Sorocaba pelo crime de associação criminosa, previsto no artigo 3º da Lei n.º 12.850/13. No entanto, o juízo do plantão de Sorocaba entendeu que não havia indício que os vinculasse ao caso de Araçatuba, porque não houve apreensão de nenhum instrumento ou produto de crime relacionado ao caso em poder dos autuados (dinheiro, armas, explosivos etc.), com exceção de uma denúncia anônima. Por essa razão, foi determinado o relaxamento das prisões em flagrante”, informou a Corte, em nota.
O crime
Três agências bancárias foram atacadas por criminosos fortemente armados na região central de Araçatuba, na madrugada do dia 30 de agosto.Duas agências tiveram seus caixas danificados após detonação de explosivos e outras agências foram foram atingidas por disparos de arma de fogo.
Pelo menos três pessoas morreram e três ficaram feridas. Até o momento, quatro suspeitos continuam presos.
